I have an ETEC 60 and it has let me beat several storms back to the dock while day sailing on the weekends. The non-Macgregor sailboats had to ride it out.
Several on this forum have the Suzuki 70 and I thought long and hard about it. My final decision rested on not seeing a single Suzuki on the back of any of the boats down here and seeing ETECs everywhere.
Hope this helps.

That's a pretty good way to make these kind of decisions - - - what you see in your area is probably what you wantjschrade wrote:My final decision rested on not seeing a single Suzuki on the back of any of the boats down here and seeing ETECs everywhere.

I am thinking of motorsailing, and heeling over to maybe 30 degrees.
will the 4-strokes be able to run at this angle without sucking air in the oil-pump?
