‘Sposed to be posting questions on the Discussion Board rather than masquerading as a Mod?
I see this from time to time (but increasingly so) where the Mod section isn’t used to describe modifications as Heath originally intended.
I’m also disappointed in the occasional fairly blatant lack of civility I read on the Discussion Board.
At the risk of joining the ranks, I lament the days of old when protocol was followed and participants didn’t flame, blame, or be lame with guidelines. Seems like members did a much better job years ago when this site was relatively new.
Back to the Mod matter, without a hall monitor constantly assuring everything is on the up-n-up I wonder if it might help the Mod section code to require a picture in order to post?

I couldn't have said that better my self! Mods are mods and not a reason to show off. A picture is really what is needed to explain what, how and why . The mods are the life blood of the MacGregor Sailors' site.

There are some fantastic ideas in the mod section, and one or two waste of time posts for sure... The picture thing is what makes it a bit of a hassle to post. I wish you could just post your pics, like on other forums rather than setting up some third party storage thingy which is too much hassle... That has stopped me from posting my latest mod, which isnt actually a mod, but a very simple and easy, nicely nautical looking storage option for the M and X

The Modifications of a MacGregor are important, since the factory simply provides ONLY a thrifty vessel, motor, and some sails. The factory provides quality, but not the "frills"
Many of the Mods designed by members are ""amazingly clever"", and are really an improvement to our boats for comfort, safety, convenience, and a much better looking boat, etc.
I'm really amazed at the talent some of you guys display with "IMPROVING" the MacGregor boat.
Thanks to the "many" that provide the time to post their Boat Improvements ! No idea is too small !

I agree that the pic posting process is cumbersome. Must be a better way.
