Thanks for posting your new adventure! I've enjoyed reading and re-reading your previous trips! Can't wait for part 2! Your boat is looking great! I am envious of how long of a cruise you get to take!
Congratulations to you and Ruth!
Congratulations on the awesome trip and the wedding! (just don't do it like Rick...whatever it was he did)
Those were great stories and pics! I'm really bummed that I didn't get the opportunity to come down and visit - not that I could have reached you by car anyway. We'll have to get together when you come back down in the Spring... It's funny, I was just down in Port Charlotte earlier this week, right down on the peninsula where yer boat is being kept...couldn't remember the name of the marina...will have to check it out next week when I go down again!
Thanks for taking the time to document the trip and share the good, the bad, and the ugly... I'm learning a lot from your documentaries!
Sum and Ruth,
Dittos on the congrats and blessings. You two are inspirational in many ways.
I do want to ask you to come clean and be honest with us about something. The inside of your boat is way too big to be a Mac. I think you are taking pictures of your Mac from the outside but switching to a larger friend's yacht when taking pics of the inside.
CONGRATULATIONS, RUTH AND SUM:May you always get along on a small boat . Alice and I thank you both for being part of your life with a Mac. We have sat for many whiles, reading and looking at the histories that are so well done. They also help the Admiral with looking forward to longer outings. Our sticky wicket is the fact that we have a small dog, and when planning, it plays a major role in staying on the water for long periods. Using your mod with the ladder, we can more easily get the dog from the boat to the dinghy and back. Thanks for that information. Most of all, have many years of bliss. Alice and Stew of "THE RESTLESS TWO"
Ruth and Sum,
First of all, Congratulations and good luck.
Second, Thanks for all the great posts, I follow you r adventures here and the other boards you use and almost feel like I know you even though we have never met. I have adopted a lot of your ideas and plan to post some of my own one day when I feel ambitious (this getting old sure does tire one out sometimes) I am a retread (opps, that should be"retired") aerospace engineer and have great envy and appreciation for your mechanical skills and Ruth's stitchery. I also like the way you post mistakes as well as successes. It makes you guys seem more human or real or something. Anyway, I am looking forward to the next Florida installment.

Have a great time in the Honeymooners with Ruth and Fair/Wind & Sailing to your Marriage.

Ps: your Pelican Chart is at least 5-8 yrs old. The right bank sand bar is opened up to sail inside and anchor backside for past 3 years and Pelican bay depth is much diffrent.

Ruth and I wanted to thank everyone for their well wishes. It is official now as of a couple hours ago .
Dave that is strange about the chart as I downloaded that from NOAA this past year. I could see how the one side bay was open when we were there. There were a couple power boats in there a couple times. Even with the charts we go in to new places slow watching the depth finder knowing the bottom can change.
Before this trip our charts for the inland lakes we were on didn't show depths.
Congratulations Ruth and Sum,
We wish you nothing but hapiness and safe adventures. My wife and I love reading your posts and are planning on moving to Florida in the next year or so, depending on how our jobs go. Now, thanks to your great adventure, WE CAN'T WAIT
Best wishes,
Brian and Loretta
