My O2 X measures:

Height: (measured top to bottom, not along edge) 33 1/8
Top width: 35 1/8
Bottom width: 21 3/4

Hope this helps.

Regular plexi is not that strong. I'd probably want at least three eigths.
Half inch is better to keep a thief from kicking it in. ESP if you cut it into smaller peices. With out framing they will be very flexible. My current boat had a one piece fiberglass drop in panel that was much stronger then the equivalent weight of plexiglass. The M I have on order has the even stronger one made of two skins of fiberglass instead of one and it's also corrugated.
My preferred color is the light smoked one for privacy.

Before you buy a thick piece, it has to fit in the channels of course.... :| :| :|

We recently replaced our solid hatch with 4 pieces of 3/8 plywood .
The boards stow so much easier than the single large piece .
We also built a porthole in the top board by drilling a 5 " circle hole in it add covering it with a piece of tinted lexan .
I plan to make two top boards of 1/4 plywood sandwhiched together and three 5" holes in each , with fibreglass screen in the middle , then grind the ends to fit the the channel .
We can put these in when the bugs are bad but we want some ventalation .

We currently offer a plexiglas door for the M. I am looking into designing one for the X next. I think I have picture in my mod section. Check out eye grind design they are making custom mods for macs.

I used tinted Plexi (?) for a new hatch.. It was thin enough to use the channels / rails supplied..
I used Poplar Wooden Door Stop held in from the edges to allow it to slide in the existing channels.. I used it inside and out..held in place through all 3 pieces with counter sunk brass nuts and bolts 6/32.. That stiffened the panel considerably.. I then Cut a "window" out for the center.. about 12 " wide and 9 " tall. reinforced this with Door stop as well. I captured the flat head bolts on the front with epoxy and counter sunk the 4 rear pieces SO I could with a spin tight remover the nuts .. I did that because I have a screen across the opening and may in time need to replace said screen..
I then built an "awning" for over that window , out of some fancy wooden base board I had laying around the garage ( I used about 16").. Unless its raining sideways .....the rain drips ofl my awning and never enters the Cabin.. I stained all the wood..... to kind of ... match the wood inside the M..
Burglar Proof? Forgettaboutit..IF .. someone wants in this or most any boat its a pretty simple matter to use a screwdriver and defeat anything you have ..
When we leave..for the week ? Its the fiberglass factory panel.. all the rest of the time ......its my very Nautical looking transparent screened panel, or nothing at all..I now have light coming through ( thought its tinted) and Ventilation as well.. Cost me? About $20..

There are pictures of the first prototype in my mod section. Unfortunately smoked acrylic that thick isn't cheap. But at night being able to see into the cockpit is great. We are working on a two and three peice version, hopefully reducing the cost as the full size doors don't get a good yield out of a 4x8 sheet.
