We have particle board here... But do you have it on or in the floor of your Mac?????
I am / was an Electrician for almost 40 years.. we have all kinds of great toys for facilitating fishing expeditions .. I seldom mention them by name as most are too costly for a fellow who may well only use it once or twice in a life time.. I used my Green-lee Fiber rods to drill 16 feet thru some sort of hard foam(?) core between two decks/ liner and deck top.. I fashioned a crude bit out of a 10/24 stain machine screw that screwed into the coupler and we used my magnet from "HULL" aka Very Strong... with a handkerchief between the liner and the magnet ( so as not to scratch the liner) to direct the "bit" as I drilled it forward to where he wanted to get.. then I used my Carborundum hole saw to open the liner and attach a wire " with a #$%^&*( pull string!) for later.. I got....... 1 Qt. of Jerry Sailor Rum, 1 Qt. of Raspberry Vodka and.... a Case of Beer for my effort :) Took me less than an hour.. :)

Tried running 2 4mm2 cables between the liner from the port rear switches to the port forepeak but had a problem in the middle just above the sink, no give in the liner.....any tips ?

Well, after 2 hours, bloody knuckles, and a lot of bad words, I took DaveB advice and installed a new panel to the left of the galley. My hat is off to everyone who can successfully fish that wire.

The wires don't route above the sink. From the panel, they path downward between the inner liner and the hull at about the height of the liner overlap, then forward to the chainplate and down under the galley. At the liner overlap just aft of the galley, it is possible to spread the liners apart & shim with a block to fit a skinny hand and grab a wire.

Sorry to hear your had your Knuckes Bloodied. I don't know how you did yours but the lead from the Starter Battery and my 2 front Vberth House batteries were very easy. Maybe you talking about leading all DC lines to new Panel.
My setup is a starter Battery with 2 house batteries. My house batteries are wired to the #2 switch on the battery switch that is also connected to the Elect. panel I installed left side gally.
I have a auto seperater that charges both house and starter battery independent, both engine and 110 volt when on ac.
My engine when shut off kills the seperation between house and starter batteries.
I did run a seperate lead (14 guage) to the original 18 gauge house wire that lead to the original panel and yes that was a knuckle burner.
If I new you were going that route I would have suggested a couple of things my Knuckles have learned.

When I installed the navigation gear decided to rewire the feed to a bigger 12v switchboard and instead of trying to go the long way with more voltage drop just went straight up the side of the rear berth with the cables inside some hose and made a junction to split the cables to the nav and switchboard.

It's a bit dark but you can see it and as we have some velcro clothing bags there most of the time never really notice it.

Does it interfere with the aft movement of the Galley? It's a great idea and I'd like to do it, but we do push the galley around every day so it would have to be well clear. I suppose I could go up the starboard side with no issues at all though.

Beautiful under cockpit cabinetry BTW--you should sell a flat cut kit for that!
