I am on the :macx: hunt, for sure. My pull rig is black, so I will do a vinyl wrap of the hull in black, to match for those times it goes down the highway. That will also set it apart from all the other Mac's

Don't know how far away you are willing to go to get your :macx: but I saw a pretty nice 2002 on Craigslist in Spokane, WA for around $15k. I know that it has been on there for quite some time so maybe the owner would be willing to drop the price. I also know that there are usually quite a few of them in the Seattle area for sale due to BWY being located there. They don't sell the X model anymore but they sold quite a few of them in their area. I picked up my 1996 :macx: in Marysville, WA just north of Seattle last year for $10k and it was in great shape. I had to put about $500 into the motor to get it working properly since the boat had been sitting in the previous owner's driveway for 8 years.
We used the boat for the past 6 months on Lake Pend Oreille in Idaho and just pulled it out of the water 2 days ago for the season. Can't wait to get back out on the water in the Spring.

Gary, the :macm: can now be ordered in special edition black. Currently only two other black hulls exist, so you'd be ultra rare if you ordered this way.

Plus black sails. It'd be just like wearin a set of your old motorcycle leathers (minus the tassles).

I will go a little extra, but not overboard like I did on this:

I want the area above the waterline black. That is it. If I see another sailboat in black, and I do not like it, I will leave it white. Not sure what a dirt catcher black would be on a boat.
