That is BEAUTIFUL! Yours is exactly the same as mine but in much, much better shape! Now I know what my cabin should look like! Except replace your girlfriend with my wife on my boat.
Very well done!!
Looks like I have some work to do!

To rename a boat is bad luck. To avoid the bad luck, you must strike the old name from all logs and records.(I think)

Hi Trumpetguy: Been away for while, escaped
It's like buying a used car. Kick the tires. Will the owner take you out on a demo. $1800 sounds OK, is it a V-25 or a V-224. Check keel for damage i.e. cracked fiberglass casing if V-224. Do the math, New motor $1000 +/- What's interior condition. Damage to mast and boom? Standing and running rigging. Winches, blocks etc. Trailer included? Can you send us some pics. Good Luck, Fair Winds and full Sails...Old Salt

Naming the boat after your best girl is the ultimate term of affection. I name our first boat, V-21, Penny Sue after my beloved, and recently departed, life partner. We named our second boat, V-222, Penny Sue Too. She wanted to name it EEYORE after the Winnie the Pooh character. Named Third boat Freedom because we bought it during 1976 bicentenial. Fair Winds and Full Sails....Old Salt

That is a beautiful story, Freedom77. In my opinion we should all read it at least several times, and reevaluate our priorities in its light.Freedom77 wrote:Naming the boat after your best girl is the ultimate term of affection. Just a couple more

More pics of what I did with the rigging to come... Probably next week. Taking her out on the water this Sunday if the weather is fair.

You can see a couple "scuffs" there on the port side from the rubber bumpers on the dock.
Whats the best way to get those off without rubbing down my gel coat too hard?
Thanks!

3M™ Marine Restorer and Wax and,2 micro cloths and a very little rubbing will permit you to see the dryer air vent on your (hublot). I keep a bottle on the boat at all times*.

It is a georgous ship. Love the ivory over green scheme. A real touch of sophistication at first glance. However I noticed the running rigging (side shrouds) are a bit loose. Very loose. Before putting a full head of wind in her sails, please walk about the marina and compare side shroud tension with all the other sailboats there. Adjust as needed.ShipFaced22 wrote:Just a couple more
