I bought some of those a few years ago. Amazing for single handing with the genoa.

I saw Ron ( Kailani) using these at the last LHPPC and had to have a pair. They are really great for single handed operations. The only improvement I would make is to replace the cap screw with a spring loaded plunger. I don't like having an allen wrench handy and, as a consequence, they usually stay mid traveler unless it is a really long tack.
Dave

NO CONTROL-- they are a combination fair lead and cleat that go on the genoa traveler track on the side of the cockpit.

So Q1, with the cap screw for setting it in place on the track - what is the purpose of the small SS loop in the end?

Where did you order these from? Kelly hanson marine emailed me back a few days ago and said they are no longer open because of illness of one of The partners. Its a shame because they had some good stuff.

*edit* after looking closer at the photo, *on my small phone screen *I see where you ordered from. :P

I got mine at the Newport boat show from a Garhauer Marine Vendor last fall. I saw them on a NE-TS's X and thought they would be a good piece of equipment for when I really learn how to sail. Fit and finish are great and I am going to look into putting a spring loaded plunger on them. When I have some of that priceless time. Mike
