Stern rail for the M

Hi guys the captains seat doesnt hit the stern rail seat when its up. almost positive Ill check Fri. You cant sit in the seats with the captains seat up but never wanted to. The 2 inch holes are drilled to install the large washers and nuts with tons of 5200 you have to reach in and hold the washer/nut to start the bolts there are three of them per seat. BWM sends you caps to cover the holes and a picture of where to drill so dont drill till you get the seats.

I think BWM bimini is not the same as mine theirs mounts to the geneo track, mine mounts to the side of the boat. I will post pitcures Sunday of all the mods. My bimini did not fit just right with the seats so I added a slidding extension that allows the bimini to move up and back about a foot. This works great. Its not a rail slide the actual bimini poles extend. My bimini came from Inmon where he got it I dont know he may have them made but you can call him and find out. Also mention my name as he wanted to sell me the small top. He didnt think the large one would work out to well for me. Or maybe he was overstocked on the small ones.

Back to the seats I like them alot you can now mount a small dingy motor or tie things off them put stuff on them when parked to get them out of the cockpit. and sit on them They are very strong and really easy to install, just be carefull not to drop a washer or bolt inside. I used 5200 on my finger to hold the washer/ nut to get them started (black 5200) yuk what a mess.

A new thought about your bow-up question - I have a 35 gallon water bladder in the bow in front of the ballast tank vent which would compensate for the added weight on the aft end. Just in case you are wondering, the ballast tank vent is under the V berth on the M.

If you look at the picture attached to my 2nd post on this subject you can see the white 2" cap that is used for an access hole. Look at the side of the transom that faces the engine well, about 6 inches down and to the rear. The cap being white blends in nicely, look carefully and you will see it.

elia, did you remove the floatation in the front of the V-berth to install this tank?

Is this a triangular bladder, or rectangular one? Brand?

This is one of the few options I did not do myself. I had the dealer do it so I am assuming if there was floatation there he took it out since it's not there now.

The bladder is triangular, and I will have to look at it to see what brand it is. I have the boat rigged for sea on the trailer at a marina, and will not be down there for a few weeks. Next time go there I find out who made it and let you know.

After I got the boat I pressurized the water system and installed a Sealand head with a 9 1/2 gal holding tank which is the main reason I got the bladder in the first place, although having running water is nice also. I added a macerator pump with a thru hull, and pump out connection topside. I made it very civilized for the Captain.

I have to clear up something about the captains seat hitting the stern rail seat when its in the up position. The captains seat used to rest on the life line when open but that line is now replaced with part of the rail from the stern rail seat so yes it does rest on the rail now but It does still open as before and doesnt get in the way any more then before. Hope that helps

Your boat looks excellent! I'm getting the rails, no doubt. Did you simply order them from bwm, or did they come installed?

Most importantly - that Yamaha 60, is that the F60? What do you think of it. It's the engine I ordered for my M.

Great picture of the stern of your boat. So, that's what an X will see of your boat? You pulling away?

this is my boat with the BBQ have a suzuki 50 the one on top is a pitcure from moe. I ordered the seats from BWM and installed them very easy.....didnt even have the dealer help, sorry had to toss that in

My M has the bimini on slides on the genoa tracks. If I got the stern seats and wanted to move the bimini back, I thought about added extensions to these tracks but the liner blocks access to the inside. Has anyone extended the genoa tracks somehow?

Has anyone with these stern rail seats had difficulty with cleating the rudders?

No problem on cleating and for added bonus you can put a pully on the seats to the rudders.
