26X available in the UK

Post by Gary N »

After 3 years we have decided to move onto something longer, heavier, less powerful, older, etc. I know, I know, that it doesn't sense in some ways but in others it does make sense. We are moving onto something (undecided as yet) that will take across the Irish Sea and to France and beyond. We have had some great adventures in our Mac and many happy times.

Gary, though we'll be sad to see you moving away from Mac's, I'm glad you'll still be sailing, and do continue to stay active here on the forum. We're not just all about Mac's... anyone can participate, and after all, sailing is sailing - the concepts and problems are very much in common!

Cheers,
Kevin

Cardiff Bay is beautiful. My wife and I visited last year because we live in a town named for Cardiff.

Yes it is an interesting place with a huge sailing history. Last weekend we had a round Extreme Sailing World series - seeing those boats flying along at close quarters is quite a sight. Some TV footage here at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY6ssLXQaMk .

This is our yacht club which has plenty of information about the area if you are interested - www.cardiffyachtclub.org.
