Why would it not be an option. I installed a Johnson Lever with my CDI Roller Furling on my 26S, and will install a Johnson Lever on my 2007 - 26M with my CDI RF. Works great.

What size/ brand did you buy and where? Been thinking of one for a while now. And how did you install it? Pics?

I bought the large 3 hole showen on this link:

I moved the forestay horn up higher on the mast, and made a strap with adjusting holes about 3 1/2 in long between the lever and CDI connector. I can't show you any pictures, as I sold the 26S a year ago.

I would be a little concerned about the different tensions on the mast between the forestay and the shrouds by moving the fs up nine to ten inches. I'm no engineer but it would be something to consider. For the ease of a single season setup/ takedown it's not worth the worry for me. Thanks though.

No Problem.

I know several people who have done it with no problem, and many have moved the Spinniker Head, halyard, up higher with no problem. But if you are concerned, I would not do it.

Take care,
