I bought some outdoor speakers in enclosures that I intend to mount on the stanchions with brackets from West Marine. It's similar to what's on the the mod page at http://www.macgregorsailors.com/cgi-bin ... record=384. Those particular stanchion clamps I think are obsolete but I found a similar one that should work. I intend to use the same type Perko connector for the connections as is used on deck for the mast light.

I don't care much for music in the cockpit - there I like the sounds of nature. But in the cabin while overnighting, now that's the time for music, with maybe a little tune drifting into the cockpit while you are enjoying a cigar and wine or scotch under the stars.

My favorite music mod is simply a Bose wave cd/radio on the salon table. The sound is great in that little hull and there is no installation needed. Low draw on the inverter if not in the marina.

One helpful hint: In mounting my speakers to an area of the footwell of the cockpit, I needed to enclose the backside of the speaker that was inside the cabin. I searched high and low for a cover that would work well, and finally happened upon a product line for plastics that is very interesting and provides thes speaker covers, along with numerous other boat applications:
