Re: Annual MAD MEN of Ontario Rendezvous IV
Since I will be there sans Mac (inappropriate tow vehicle for the distance- etc etc) you might not be so outnumbered Tom.

They're alive!! Good to hear from you - thought we'd lost you for a while. Now we have a pilot for episode 2 at the wall. Make sure you book Port Credit a.s.a.p..StarSpun wrote:I'm back! What's the date....we are in if it's not during our trip to Montreal for a concert.
Sorry I've been MIA for a bit....things were hectic with traveling for the winter and when we got back, it was right to the boat stuff. We're on it everyday if the weather is nice;-)
Ok Beene just messaged me, I believe these dates work perfect. Can't wait:-)
YAY!

Re: Annual MAD MEN of Ontario Rendezvous IV
I hope so Cat
They know we are coming
We chose to book in there during the week this time as it is less busy and should be no prob to get slips together
Leon from SFO will most likely be joining us again as well
I have been in touch with Dave, the X I rescued last get together with the Dead engine....
He is slipped in the Lakeshore club
Said he plans to meet up with us as well
So 1 more X to the pile
This year I plan to keep things much more organized
There are many that have slips near by
What I hope to do is have a set time during the day when we all meet up on the water at spot X
Then once all have arrived, sail together wherever the wind blows
Back to credit village, or their respective slips elsewhere
Then meet up at an agreed upon restaurant of choice at time X
How does that sound??

Re: Annual MAD MEN of Ontario Rendezvous IV
Targeting Monday Aug 19th for first sailing water meet up
Coordinates 43.552778,-79.578974
ie 43n 79w ish
Nice sand bottom for anchoring
Right around east side of Port Credit Marina
Will Anchor there in the shallows
Wait till everyone shows up
Raft up together while we wait
Aim to be there by 11am
Shooting for noon gunshot start!
Lots of photo ops
Destination open
Toronto Island or open water...
Will post VHF freq when decided for com purposes
Most of us have exchanged cell num so we can stay in touch via txt msg
Beats VHF any day
Will repeat on the 20th and 21st if all goes well
18th Sunday will be busy
I will be rigging, launching and checking in at Credit Village that aft
Looking fwd to seeing you all again
I still hold the title against Rocky and Highlander....
Anyone wishing to take the title from me can have it when they prey it from my cold dead fingers.... LOL
Promise I wont drop my heart pounding 1600cc monster in the water to aid me in my quest.
Cheers to all

Re: Annual MAD MEN of Ontario Rendezvous IV

Oh, you mean there (green arrow - ignore the red pushpin).
Ain't google maps great? I didn't even have to fire up the nav software.
Monday late morning probably won't work for me, as I'm trailering from the US, or crossing by water. Probably won't be there until late that day. Have fun without me, though.
Unless I travel on Sunday. I'll have to see about that.
