Any suggestions on buying a mainsail cover? What to look for and where to buy it.

Blue Water Yachts has a new combination sail pack and lazy jacks. It doesn't seem to be on their website yet. I bought one at the Seattle Boat Show and am very happy with the look and the new lazy jacks system. Contact them if you are interested.

If you want a standard cover try the Macgregor Owners site. I purchased a new main sail cover and a pedestal cover about a year ago. Both are very high quality.

Get one that matches the rest of your canvas. Some good sources above. I would strongly recommend keeping your sails protected from the UV rays of the sun.

Or you could just get one of those blue tarps and wrap it around the boom.

Mine came with what I assume was the original black mainsail cover, which looks very out of place against the dark red bimini and dodger. So yeah, if you're going to spend money on a sail cover, at least get one that matches the rest of the canvas. I was going to replace mine this year, but now I'm thinking a StackPack or something like that may make my life easier, so I have to put more thought into it. And make some repairs to the original sail cover to get through the rest of the season.
