I like Boats solution too. My problem is I can't singlehand much cause the admiral likes to go as much as I do. :D

Yup, mine too - she likes to drive, so at those times I let her drive and I work the main - I even work the main from inside the cabin: if I'm down there scrounging for a beer or some crackers and don't feel like coming back out I just pull the main sheet from inside the cabin.

I too have to go forward to grab my foresail sheets on the winches when single-handing. What are these EZ cleats, and how will they help me?

EZ cleats are a cam-cleat behind a fairlead mounted on a rotating plate on a 1" track-slide. They're easily mounted on the gunnel genoa tracks. The Genoa sheets go into the fairlead and down onto the cam-cleat rather than forward to the winches and the hard-mounted cleat. For winds below 15 knots, they work perfectly well and keep the sheets back towards the helm for single handers.

You get them from member Bill at Boats 4 sail.

They are these things on the side of the boat than make the jib sheets point to the guy behind the helm:

For the life of me I can't remember where I got these - I don't think they magically appeared on 'boat' after I brought it home and I don't remember seeing them before. Maybe they just grow there after a while.
