I'm interested too - they look neat - and much more affordable. 8)

Maybe for someone small, they look tiny to me. My butt will not fit on that seat :D
It looks like it mounts to the railing and the little leg folds out, if that observation is correct, when seated, you would not have any type of back rest or restraint. If you are heeling,I would imagine it would be difficult to stay secure in your seat.

I say buy one and report back. Looks like they might work well on the Tattoo's new stern rails, which would provide the missing seatback.

Alright John.... I remember thinking they are cool when you first posted your seats and bringing them up again prompted me search casting seats and I ended up just ordering one on a whim 8)

Since I have an X without stern seats going to try something different though with a rectangular one ....

So winter must be coming...spending time on mods vs sailing again 8)

Casting/leaning seat arrived today, must say I am very impressed for under $40.

Swung by the marina quick to see how it will fit, looks perfect for the modified helm seat I want to make, Very comfy. A definite possibility for corner seats too.
