Yes can be dangerous falling on the hard especially when it's concrete.
A mate and myself were backing a large dinghy down a ramp in Arnhem Land, I was in the boat and the next thing I knew we were almost back to town 25k's and I said hey whats going on why aren't we fishing.
He said, you split your head open and you need it fixed, apparently I had fallen out headfirst and kicked my way down into the water, I was unconcious and too heavy for him to lift out on the slippery barge landing, I finally woke up and apparently I saw the croc moving in first and thats the only thing I can remember until just before town even though I was wide awake and quite adamant that we should be going fishing.
Since that time have seen reports of many people dying from much less severe hits to the head, all I got was about fifteen stitches and the scar blends in with the wrinkles despite me telling the medic to give me a good one, they were unfussed as they get plenty of headwounds in a still fairly traditional aboriginal community but my doctor at home got excited months later.
