1000 Islands Sailing Video - Lupo di Mare
1000 Islands Sailing Video - Lupo di Mare
Please enjoy this video I made for my dad’s 79th birthday. Here is the background...
My Dad (aka Lupo di Mare) grew up in a small undeveloped island off the coast of Italy called Sardegnia. After no more than a few years of schooling during WWII, he had to work the land and was destined to a life of poverty.
Thoughts of playing a game of soccer with a real leather soccer ball was stuff of pure fantasy....that is until they stole one form the English army stationed there! The thought of owning a car one day or leaving the island appeared impossible so imagine how he must have felt when we sailed from Canada into the USA on our 1000 Island excursion! It was truly a special trip and one I will cherish forever.
Ladies and Gents, I do not think I need to tell you that we own very special boats!

It's clear that your father is a very special man, and it's also apparent that he raised one fine son. I smiled the whole time, while watching your video. We do own wonderful boats, and they're at their finest when creating memories like yours. Thanks for sharing the video.

Good job FishyFabs! I loved the part that said " if you are still watching this than you clearly have no life"....lol. I can't wait for "part deux."

Same here. Time to watch Captain Ron again. For the 100th time.

I should add that I watch it not for the sailing so much as for the scenery and the warm weather. I also watch Bridge On The River Kwai for the same reason - warm weather and sunshine.
Now, you'll pardon me, but I have to go back outside again and run the snowblower some more.
