Frede,

The dry-flush over hangs the :macm: 's step but not by a lot. The height of the unit might be a challenge for taller people. I'm 176cm (from memory that's about 5'8" or....nope, don't know in cubits). That actually works out that, when seated, my noggin is touching the head roof. Good in rough seas I guess.

I have the unit held in place by a strap through original fit brackets on the deck. So far, I haven't had to add an extension to the deck step as the overhang is minimal.

My 2005 :macm: doesn't have a step, it has a shelf (like the one below from the Mod section) I pulled out all the screws, but the shelf refuses to budge. :(
