Mine came with the above three -- - - - - - - - - now what :?: :?: :?: :?:

Rick :( :macm: Less

PS My next three were:
1) A/C D/C flourescent lighting above the dinette table (what a HUGE difference that made)! ($50)
2) Upgraded holding hinge for the bow hatch. ($15)
3) Another set of foam from the factory for the stern berth where I slept - - - making it much more comfortable! ($75?) (Doubled the foam)
4) Switched out the stereo that came with the boat because it did NOT have a remote control I could use from the cockpit - - - which I determined was ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY 8) ($200 maybe)
5) Put a rope across the top of the V berth (which I didn't use) to turn it into a hanging locker and behind that just storage everywhere in and under the V berth. (free)
6) Had my son-in-law build entrance stairs for the dock so I could board and depart without killing myself (after my first week at my slip when I fell onto the dock getting off the boat and broke my hand) (free to me - son-in-law paid for materials - - - what a guy) (actually, my daughter made him build it after I broke my hand) :P :D
Whoops that's six!

We bought our boat slightly used at 6 months old and as a BWY's Super Cruser it had lots of nice options: stern rail seats, full enclosed biminy & dodger, Walrus furnice, 30 amp power, 5 gal head, 12 volt frig, all lines lead aft, seat cusions, 70 suz, stern swim ladder, GPS, access handles, already added but we added:

1 A-Spinnaker: 350 sq ft Doyle std BWY's with added adjustiable Tack line pully on an extended anchor roller, Fairleads to the cockpit on stansions for the adjustiable tack line, added Mast Hound 20 in up, Chute Scoop with pully and control lines to the cockpit, ratchet blocks on the sides of the cockpit for the spinnaker sheets.

2. Rope Bags: Made by my Wife of mesh for every line in the cockpit including a special winch handle bag in the back of the 4 connected rope bag, 2 spinnaker sheet bags, 3 bags for adjustiable tack line and roller reefing and bow and stern lines. Made of mesh and fancy cloth for charts and books hanging on the mirrored bulkhead, 3 Reef line bags mounted on the boom, 1 outhall bag on boom, 1 dingy rope bag mounted under the captians seat. A well organised cockpit is easier to sail my wife says 8)

3. Replacement Sails: They will probably be the most important large purchase we make if they last several years we don't want to but lousy sails and live with them for 6 to 10 years.

As you see changing ONE thing can become GREAT projects. When you fix a boat up it becomes a part of you 8)

#1
Finnish off all ongoing & future mods this yr :!: :D :D :D

#2
finnish off all standing & running rigging up-grades, SS Arch with Davits , bowsprit extension  preferribly when it is not thunder & lighting out , according to my friends I should not be drilling holes in a standing mast during these severe weather conditions I tell them not to worry the extension cord is ground after all :) :? although I have gotten a tingle in my arm when drilling SS in the rain :o maybe thats why I come up with all these crazy mods !!! 8) :P

#3
Hope we finnally get a half decent spring & summer the last two have been the PITS so as I can get working on the boat sooner & longer & in the water earlier this spring :( Oh and that Winged weighted new D/B that is in pending ???

For my 2000 Mac26X will be:

1.- Charplotter with additional maps for southeast Gulf of Mexico (Houston to south border) and all Mexico coast with a lot of detail. and with Fishfinder (maybe Garmin 3D 7 in.screen)
2.- Solar panel. Something big enough to run my fridge and recharge batteries, I think 100 W. And the arch support (like M) to install it.
3.- Flushing toilet with outside discharge.
4.- Shower with hot water maybe sun powered.
5.- BBQ pit with stantions mount
6.- Big forward lights (2) with remote operation for movement from the cockpit
7.- LCD TV with DVD player to watch movies or sports. With antenna for HD reception, and good music system (High Fidelity)
8.- Tohatsu 70 Hp motor. Very good weight, reliability and power. Pricey $7,000 dlls.
9.- Air conditioner with digital power generator 2000W or with big enough wind generator 1000W
10.- Inimaginable

Top mods based on most use/most impact...

- Full enclosure (ordered from Art Reiders with boat) - turned the boat from a sleeps 4 for a week to sleeps 6-7 (allows stowage of gear and two extra berths up top)

- Macerator on head - lets us dump offshore during me+6 girls for 7 days!!!

- BBQ grill - meat and potatoes every night :D :D :D

- Heaths boomkicker - easy management of the boom and sailshape to boot.

- 4 HP tender kicker on transom - gives me piece of mind that I have backup power in case of engine failure as well as a good tender solution on anchor.

- Over rated anchor (Bullwaga) and chain rode ....once I get that anchor set, I know the boat is staying put. The first time you leave the boat on anchor for a weekend and KNOW it will be there when you return, you get to carve a notch in your admiral bars....

1-A small video camera on the bow (12v) with a link to where I am steering.
So when I have my Genoa jib to port and my main sail to starboard I can see where I am going.

2-A nice cushion at the captains seat so the ride is not so tough.
