26M Dagger Board Uphaul
I would like to make it easier to raise and lower my dagger board by reworking the uphaul. I have searched the mods and did not find what I was looking for. Has anyone done this mod with successful results?

What is your current configuration for the line to raise & lower the daggerboard?
Does your line run aft to the cockpit?

Back near where that washer is I put a turn block - I just tied the dagger board line with a loop there so it has a turn-block attached to it. Then you just let the line go up to the cleat as usual then it goes from the cleat BACK to the turn block, and then BACK to the cleat! (Or in 'boat's case - it goes to it's own cinch lock thing) That ways you have double the power when pulling the line!
I think that thing is called a "cinch Block" ?? Is that right (you guys know I am lousy with nautical terms
)
Hey Ray! How's it goin'!

Re: 26M Dagger Board Uphaul
I currently have the stock set-up with a single line which runs to a rope clutch. Since posting, I found a mod that was posted for a rudder uphaul that also included a single block mod on the dagger board. sounds similar to Boat's recommendation. I have a couple single blocks that I can use with one placed at the cleat on the sliding hatch rail and the second at the end of the dagger board uphaul line. I will run the line from the end of the uphaul line through the block on the hatch cleat then through the block on the end of the uphaul line and then back to the rope clutch. That should give me the same advantage as Boat's.
Any other recommendations?

Mine is the same as Neo's. You just have to make sure it does not foul on the hatch sliders or (as in my case) the snaps for my sprayhood. It really makes raising the board easier.

From the daggerboard, run the line through the turning block near the mast and then terminate in a simple block (with the daggerboard down). Then, attach a line to the cleat near the companionway and run this through the block on the daggerboard line and then back to the cockpit.

That's not the way i do it.
I would take a picture but the boat is covered right now - I can get a picture this weekend though if your willing to wait.
I did not do it that way because I did not want to CUT my daggerboard line. Making the line that short seemed like a bad idea because if the daggerboard ever fell through it would take all the line right down in a hurry. The way I did it there is no need to cut the stock daggerboard line.
I guess I could try to draw a picture, but that's gonna take me a few hours too !
cmon guys! you know I'm just a troll and I don't have a lot of talent - I will try to make some sort of a diagram.

Loop tied into DB line with single block attached, then run through cleat [1], back to block [2], around block and back to cam or jamb cleat or rope clutch [3]?

Re: 26M Dagger Board Uphaul
In your picture it looks like the DB line is cut or terminated at the single block, but your description sounds right.
The dagger board line on 'boat' is still the same stock line - nothing was cut, nothing was changed in the stock line. Now, starting from that premise here is what I did:
I tied a LOOP in the DB line in the same place in the picture but then you have a long tail because I did not cut the line! - the LOOP only uses up about 8 inches of line! You still have the remaining 5 or 6 feet (?) of line there after the LOOP! The single block (pulley) is attached in the LOOP - that's what the LOOP is for - it holds the single block (pulley).
Then the TAIL (the leftover part of the line AFTER the LOOP) goes to the MIDDLE of the cleat just like in the picture, then that tail goes into the single block pulley part! Make sense?
THEN, after the tail "turns" through the single block it goes up to a "cinch block" on top of the cabin where that X is on your picture. Now when i pull on the line it pulls the block and the block pulls on that LOOP and the dagger board goes UP!
I can't explain it - I will need to take a picture.
