I used Barkeepers Friend, but next time I think I'll use the 3M Marine Rubbing Compound.

When I used NGII on my X three summers ago, I do not remember any issues with my letters of the name or the registration numbers on the bow. I think I remember going a little easy around the letters. It may be prudent to test a small corner of one letter to see how your particular letters respond to the NGII. You can, also, contact the maker of NGII. I remember calling them about something, and they were very helpful. My lettering came from West Marine about 12 years ago, and they still look good.My boat name is on with vinyl letters. Will New Glass attack them?

Here is a picture of Nice Aft after washing and using good old Turtle Wax (squeeze bottle). Easy on, and easy off. I have been using this for most of the twelve years I have owned Nice Aft. You just do not need any expensive, or technical procedures.![]()
Easy on and easy off with great results. As they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words.” By the way, being a white hull, reflections don't appear as vivid as a dark colored hull, yet look at the results.

That's a sweet looking shine there Ray! I was one of the "Bah, give me polish and an angle grinder buffer and get out of my way" gang until I got this boat. For 15+ years I've been wet sanding oxidized hulls, breaking out the buffers with wool pads and a myriad of 3M products to get a mirror shine. And shine they do! Well, at least for another 4-5 months in the Florida sun. Then it's back to the polisher.NiceAft wrote:I have been waiting to post a photograph until I have actually washed and waxed my white.

Pics or it didn't happen!apsaunders wrote:Just finished removing oxidation from the stripes and blue hull of my. Applied NG2 and wow! What a difference. This boat didn't look this good when I bought it.
I was hesitant at first, but oxidation was getting so bad, I figured I had nothing to lose. And NO, I do not own any interest in NG2. I bought mine off Amazon as one of the post suggests.
Thanks to all of you who helped me take the plunge!
