The Norseman fittings I was referring to are bombproof and are designed for much larger boats. Very neat and easy to do if you look into them.

Re: New Guy Here
Well I finally got the chance to take my boat out for the first time. I have never sailed and was rather nervous heading out by myself for the first time with zero experience. I motored out to a safe distance, pointed into the wind, and raised my main. What followed was alot of figuring out how sails really work(you can read about it all you want), some light panic moments, the running over of a buoy, and then some actual sailing. Only after all that did I realize I forgot to lower the centerboard.
Later a club member showed up and offered to take me out and give me a few pointers. So then I unfurled the genoa and really learned alot more. I was surprised at how much of it is just feel. He was very helpful and told me what to do rather than just doing and having me watch it.
Next time I'll wear a shirt. SPF50 just didn't cut it for spending the whole day out there. I'm red like a tomato's first cousin.
I had to get a picture of the boat at night. I installed LED strip lighting around the inside perimeter of the cabin and I like it. The whole boat's wiring is a mess but I just decided to make everything work for this season.

Beautiful boat, beautiful pic and a beautiful memory. Welcome to the club.
I've been thinking about the led strip and you convinced me.
