Isn't a Luke similar to an admiralty or fisherman's anchor?
Its like a Popeye anchor but it breaks down into three parts. The way I use the boat dictates such an overkill anchor. I anchor in grass often, where things like the rocna eont hold. I dont use two anchors any more unless specifically needed for current or to reduce swing. And I park close to shore where there may be no room for an anchor to reset itself if dislodged. It also prevents the midnight storm anchor drill which I have come to hate. Its already down.

Ahh.. good catch. I read "Fluke Anchor" as in Danforthish.
Ix clarified it. Interesting choice, but I guess it works for his environment.
Arguably the only anchor style that can penetrate grass and weed effectively.*
*In the context of small boat anchors, of course; the anchor on the Nimitz wouldn't even know the weeds are there, but those blunt Navy stockless types aren't much use on a little sailboat.

I bought mine on eBay for 350 dollars after I thought someone had stolen my boat since I came back one day and she was gone! Not a nice feeling.
Turned out my boat had drug her two anchors in a squall and some good Samaritans had tied her to a mooring. On sorting out my ground tackle my main anchor a delta 25 that had been performing very well was balled up in weed. The smaller danforth was just sitting on top not doing anything. after buying the other guys a case of beer I went anchor shopping.
