Been along time since I posted here. My Mac 26M is gone but while I was active I did suck the entire macgregor26m.com website into a 700 page PDF with cross links in the PDF working. The PDF is 33Mbyte.
I could provide a link to download this PDF but before doing so the forum moderators might consider. - ie is this OK?
It would be preferable to host on this site I think but the admin’s would have to manually load it - the site code will not allow direct upload I am pretty sure being the admin of another phpBB driven site.
Of course this type of resource may already be available and the above is irrelevant
Sounds pretty useful! I don't think that the folks at MacGregor would be against such a thing. His daughter, the inheritor of the Mac and Tattoo legacy, has given me permission to use the logo, so I would imagine that offering the old website content would not be an issue.
Has anyone gone beyond discussion and asked for the OK from Laura and Paul Sharp? Not an attorney, so I don’t know if permission is required, but it would be the morally correct thing to do.
Kevin, are you the only one who has ever been in touch with them? Is their contact information public? If so, jimbo should be the one to ask the Sharps; jimbo did all of the work, and deserves all of the credit.
I did something similar I copied & saved all the important stuff I thought to b useful like drawing,s & diagrams with measurements & stuff , I should check my laptop see if it,s still there Mmm !
Interesting info on the MacGregor 65. When they were ending production of the 65 I was called by a man that said he would buy a 26 for his son if I could get him a 65.
I contacted the Mac factory but was told that all of the last of the 65's were already sold.

Two 70 footers have been built (so far). the 2nd one, Roger MacGregor's personal boat, is/was for sale for $250,000. He is building a 3rd one to replace it. One hundred 65 footers were built.
