Trailer grease nipples

Post by Webb »

Hi I have a :tat26: with the factory? Floaton trailer. To my eyes the grease nipples on the trailer seem smaller and the grease gun socket seems to swim and doesn't pop home as I'm used to. More importantly the grease just seems to come out the sides. Would anyone know if this is an American imperial measure thing or just my mechanical skills ?

I'm no authority on grease nipple sizes but I own an older American car and the grease nipples on that are exactly the same size as my current Japanese car, maybe your grease gun is worn? Test it on some other vehicle first? If all else fails just buy a handful of new grease nipples from a car parts store ( a few dollars each) and replace them, they usually just screw in.

(EDIT) Hmmm I just found this https://www.saeproducts.com/grease-fitt ... gJNiPD_BwE so they could be anything? Sorry.
