I have friends I visit regularly in Charleston and have day sailed a couple of times. Dodging tankers and freighters has lost its allure. Are there any sailing grounds within say 50 miles that might be good to explore? I am mostly interested in the sailing, but also being able to tuck into a nice quiet anchorage or possibly tying up to a small town dock to explore and/or have some restaurant options.
Thanks.
