Went down to the mooring for my first solo sail this season( busy).
It was a blowin 18 to 24 ( reading off my new TACK TICKS )
Uncoverd the sail , wheel etc.
Lowered the Tohatsu 50 and got it runnin.
Went to the bow an released the mooring, ran back and shifted to forward
The fifty reved up and the prop never moved.
Grabed the main haylard and got the main sail stuck in the lazy jacks.
NICE.............. Called the club tender for help.. faster guys, blowing toward the rocks.
The short of it , is the shift cable broke from raising and lowering the motor. It pinches about 6 to 8 inches from the motor.
Local dealer had a generic one.. Pulled out a c- note and bent over.
Turned out it was only $23 bucks. I am gonna pac a spare.
