Have owned three Venture/Macs over 50+ years. 21, 222 and 25. Never had any problems except slip imprisoned fix keel owners making fun of me as I trailered from Baja to British Columbia. Note: Catalina 22, Frank Butler design, is still the largest production sailboat ever built. OK for two, cramped for more. Good luck. Let us know what you come up with.

MacGregor still has best rep for hand laying fiberglass. Some other used chopper guns which sprayed on. Have had no problem with glass on Freedom which is 40 + years old.

Would compare V-222 to Catalina 22 for space.
