New to us 2005 26M

Post by Piddle and Futz »

Well, we finally bought a :macm: 26M today so I'm delighted to have reason to register as a user.

I've actually been reading quite a few posts and articles over the past few weeks and it has been invaluable. Just wanted to extend my sincere gratitude and hope that we can also contribute.

Got the boat "for a song" at auction, but still haven't laid eyes on it so we might be in for a wild ride and a few surprises.

P&D,

Welcome to the club :!:

What year :macm: is it :?:

If you list where in Texas you are, there might be a Mac owner nearby who can be of assistance, if you need it. Then again, Texas is a big state.

Congrats and welcome.

I also bought my Mac without setting foot on one based on information from this forum.

Post pics when you can.

Yea, Texas is the second largest state behind Alaska. The smallest is Rhode Island. You could install carpet over Rhode Island.

New Jersey, for being such a small state has at least 2 distinct regions. People will proudly say they are from "North" or "South" Jersey with different accents accordingly.

So, we are still waiting for our :macm: to be delivered from VA.

No photos to share, but the paperwork arrived yesterday and with it was an original sales brochure. I put it on the scanner and produced something with twice the resolution on what I had previously downloaded from this site. (Makes a significant difference on those line drawings.)

Will add a link here (apparently 250MB is too large to upload) and hopefully it will get transferred over to the resources area.

That is a slightly older version of the brochure that is on the Resources tab of this site.
Waaaaaay too big to be practical for download.

Snag the 26M brochure from here and see how different it is from the one you linked to.
