European great loop

European great loop

This sort of thing is very interesting to me + you could sail on the Black sea and then up the Dneiper river. 8)

thanks for the link!

This is my big dream to do.

I don't know if our :macm: is capable of doing it...

I think I would pass the danube, the return via black sea, greece an italy.

I think the way back over the atlantic ocean / biskaya could get too hard evetually...

Will see what the future brings.

On the river the Mac26 could be perfect.

Wow! What a trip!
Not sure a Mac26X even with a 90 hp engine could make sustained progress going up stream on the Rhine though…🤔

A substantial twin engined vessel burned out two very reliable diesel engines on this trip…. :o :? 🙄

I think it might be a better option to conduct the trip in reverse order.
There may be longer runs up current but the currents are much slower from what it appears.

There is no doubt that this European Great European Loop trip must have been incredible to accomplish!!!

Best Regards,
Over Easy 😎🐈

I heard of a Danish guy who sailed from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean through German, Belgian and French channels and rivers. He got to the Mediterraenan in the Rhone river, and then, he coasted to Greece.

There are several youtube videos of people sailing sailboats down the rivers and canals of Europe. Pretty interesting. Seems to me that summers are best best in the north and winters best spent in the south. It's on my bucket list.
