See if your local marina has trailered sailboat storage. I have an M and am happy with it, but the crew I've had join me are not enamored with having to hoist the mast and set up the rigging. Trailered storage is cheaper than a slip and it will make it easier going for the kiddos and you to learn on.

green,

You haven't posted for eighteen days, I hope that means you have advanced past your concerns, and are just charging ahead. After reading all the posts here, I hope you have realized that nothing is insurmountable, The Mac is a pleasure to learn on. Before long you will be heeling at 45 degrees. 8)

Charge ahead green, with fair winds at your back. Just keep sailing and learning; sailing and learning.

Thanks for checking in NiceAft. I’ve been keeping busy getting a hitch and finding a parking spot for the boat once the temporary slip time runs out.

Pleb222,

“With the young kids, consider getting a lines led aft kit for your sail controls.”

I need to look into this. Sounds great for learning.

“Also, we put in a c-head, greatly extended the usage of the toilet, we can go at least a feek without filling the dry bucket (have to transfer pee every 3 days or so).”

Another good lead to investigate!
