Honda Shift Lever Loose
While I was working on the new steering install on the boat I looked into the loose shift lever on the Honda motor controls. After I took it off of the pedestal you could see the bolt the pulls the shift lever tight. It was almost out! I pulled it out and hit it with some Locktite Blue. Snugged it up tight. Another potential ocean failure waiting to happen. As I find these I will continue to share. Todays project is gel coating my rebuilt rudder. I snapped the head last year. I plan on adding some reinforcement strips of fiberglass along the trailing edge of the centerboard and around the top. It seems to get beat up from the stresses on it.
