Sail numbers for racing?

Post by Motley crew »

We are planning to race our 1993 M26S this year in local club events and have no idea how to determine what sail numbers we should have. Are they related to the boat hull number? Not sure if it matters but we are Canadian. Thanks.

I am not aware of any convention for sail numbers. I would imagine that at with some one-design fleets that there would be something like that to prevent duplication, but at our club there is no such restriction.

Just for kicks, I chose the number 13013, and set the numbers close enough that people are not sure whether it's 13013 or BOB. :D
The key to inner peace is to admit you have a problem and leave it at that.
