BWY sells this one:

https://shop.bwyachts.com/product-p/h210-1v0.htm

They also sell these seals:

I've not done a replacement on my boat yet, but I do have an electric valve that I am hoping to replace mine with later this year

Thanks for the info! I looked on BWY site first don’t know how I missed it. I’ll have to check out the electric valve, is it just convenience or other reasons?

Safety is another one. Lifting the set and bending over the transom of the boat is something to be avoided if possible.

Safety and convenience. I typically sail alone and there are times when I'm reaching back over the seat while at high speed to close the valve (after emptying ballast when I'm about to head to the ramp to pull the boat out on the trailer). Even with the extension handle added and my autopilot enabled, it's precarious

The one I got looks something like this:

I can't recommend it yet because I haven't put it on. Just had it in the box after buying it a couple years ago when it was on sale. It's going to require some holes or clever routing for some wires

I've lost a pair of prescription sunglasses and a cell phone leaning over to close the valve. I think I've learned my lesson. Time will tell.
Maybe I should get one.

I connected the handle of the valve with a long wooden stick, so I can open/close from the helm seat.

We should support BWY as they are our ONLY authorized Mac parts dealer and we want to keep them in business.

However, many of the Mac parts are easily sourced. I believe the gate valve is a standard RV valve

If you wanted to upgrade to one with a remote handle.

Ha ha I have that remote handle one sitting in a box right next to the electric one :D Part of the reason I haven't installed either yet - trying to decide which I should try. When I viewed your Amazon link from my Amazon account, I see:

Well, tell us how your replacement works.

My gate valve must be leaking. We launched the boat and put her in the slip and went home. Gate valve closed etc.
We were unable to get back to the boat for weeks and when I went to put the ballast in.....it was FULL.

So I'm thinking it needs replacement. That extended handle diddy looks interesting. I may have to try it.

I keep a boat hook just inside the companionway, and use it to hook and open the valve, and push down to close the afore mentioned valve

That's how I do it as well. And only 2 times a year. Open/fill Open/drain.

For $5 more if I'm replacing it anyway, that extended cable might save me leaning over to "hook" the valve stem.

The electric version LESM has is interesting because....I'm a geek.

I don't know if this remote kit will last long on a Mac. Think about salt water, all time a year in the weather...

So my wooden stick does the job for 10years now. It is connected to the original handle down and goes up over the helm seat.

Also love my remote handle for the motor disconnect. I just open the helm seat to go swimming... :D

This is what I really want.

I had it all designed and everything with a sliding positive lock mechanism, controlled by a cable in the handle.

I balked at installing it though, because it required permanently modifying the existing jouint by grinding down the raised bolt.

I would love to see your design.

(On the other hand, I am reconsidering the safety issue. Based on my sailing style, I like to have my motor readily available if it is needed.)

This configurationn has worked now for many years perfectly.

This was the first handle. I lost it while trailering.

So the second one, I have secured with a cord.

Easy breasy...

Also you can see in the back the wooden remote handle for the ballast valve.
