Bahama vacation

Post by Gotro »

Gotro’s Bahamas vacations plan
Drive with my Admiral and my Mac 26x out of Houston to Florida to the St Augustine area . Sail and explore for a few days and probably mostly at anchor and maybe stay at a Marina as to explore the town as well . Then drive to Fort Lauderdale to catch a fast ferry to the Grand Bahama Freeport . Stay a few days there may be rent a beach cat and sail. Does anyone know if they rent beach cats ? Any suggestion welcome. Admiral is off for spring break middle of March and yes I would like some day to sail across with my Macgregor to Bahamas but that will have to be down the road a bit for us. We would have to park the boat and trailer while in Fort Lauderdale and I will be looking for suggestions on this matter

No suggestions on my part, but as someone who enjoys travel, I am interested in how your trip proceeds.

The last time I was in the Bahamas there were beach cats for rent.

Keep us up to date on your St Augustine trip. I may be able to join you over there if you want some company. I've been looking for an excuse to explore that part of the coast.

What are you going to do with your boat while you are in the Bahamas?

Yes Befree I I will keep you posted I guess about 9 weeks away and that will go quickly. Love to sail with you. 1 st is I would like to keep boat and truck parked at same place we sail out of Fort Lauderdale on the Baleria terminal , that’s part of my research.I still work full time and looking forward to time off. Did not get much sailing in this last year as usually and this year remodeling my kitchen myself so sailing will be tight as well this next year.
