MOBs for bikes!

Post by DaveC426913 »

Hey! Check it out! Man-OverBoard poles for bikes!

Do you think they use the Quick Turn technique for retrieval or the Figure Eight?

I guess it depends on how much windage the bike gets when hove-to.

There was a kid who rode his motorcycle across the lake (in summer) a few years ago. If you get it going fast enough it rides on top of the water.

He had a rope and fender attached in case he went down to retrieve his bike later.

Sadly, it went down and tangled him with it pulling him down under. He didn't survive.

Indeed. They were out searching for the kid and we sailed right over the spot where he was eventually found.
Kind of gave me the creeps to learn we passed over where he came to rest and didn't realize what was going on.

I've seen people do this in Snowmobiles also. Trying for Darwin awards.

It begs the question… Just Why?
It’s for nothing… a life lost for absolutely nothing.

And then other lives put at risk attempting to rescue or recover the body.
Stupid total waste….. FOR ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
