Kind of hard to see in Pics
BWY Black Pearl Experimental M Running Light Wt. Running Backs

To improve headstay tension upwind, and help support the loads of the huge kite downwind, we have added running backstays on the mast. They are 7/32" Amsteel line and run from the upper shroud attachment points to the genoa tracks with 3 to 1 blocks for tensioning.

A close up of the block on the genoa track would be nice. It's hard to see any detail on the photos.

There was a great photo in the Tom Spohn posting, but the picture no longer is supported?
Maybe we can get Tom to restore these posts.

I had posted the links on Tinypics, but the links no longer work. Let me see if I can find the pics and I will re-post them.

For any and all who've recently had photo links expiring, consider trying Photobucket.
FWIW, their business model emphasizes serving photos to external links like eBay and blogs (as stated just below) and it is very easy to use. I have no connection other than being a satisfied user of a completely FREE service ... working flawlessly for more than a year.

I have studied these changes carefully and am working up slowly. First thing I did was detach the door from the can and pitch it into the drink. Mate says, Jimminy Christmas, what did you do that for? I tell her to get used to it, weve got to lose some top weight. Next I tossed the table and her black and white TV/VCR combo overboard.

Well, thats all the progress I can report so far. Shes got my checking account tied up with the Domestic Relations Court.

OK here are the new links. I did not include the picture of the assymetric spin as Perla Noir is now using a different one which I do not have a picture of. I also left out the Tohatsu 70 pic.

Incidentely, for you guys interested in engines Todd is taking off the Tohatsu and installing a Suzuki 70. :o :o

Hmmm - Toolguy Tim would say, "Whoa! ... back up the (2-stroke) truck!!" :o

Sure would be interesting to read BWY's logic behind such an expensive, "weighty" change??? :?

Could this be a free-be? Maybe a dealer kickback to benefit their new engine demand curve.
