Gas lifts for poptop???

Has anyone installed gas lifts (like on your average hatcback auto) on their poptop? If so, could you show me a pic or two. I'm trying to get a picture in my mind if it would work well, be in the way, and where, exactly to mount the lifts.

Catalina Direct had a kit for C-22 and C-25 poptops @ one time. (owned a C-22 at one time) I thought this would be a great improvement for my Dboat.

I put these struts on my Mac 25 pop-top and they work great. They are 90 lb each and once up the hatch stays up.

Seeing a picture of the installation helps greatly
