Slip costs

Post by trumpetguy »

In Pensacola Florida slips range from $7.00 a foot to $12.00 based on amenities. Most marinas have a 30' minimum so I pay $210.00 a month. I can be on board and motoring fifteen minutes from my home. Good sailing in Pensacola Bay is immediate, and it is only a fifteen minute motor (with my new Suzi 70) to pristine white beaches at historis Fort Pickens, a national park with 10 miles of undeveloped shoreline.

I know this sounds like a tourism board ad but we really love where we live, and the Mac is ideal for our shallows. Almost justifies the hurricanes we have here on the Gulf coast.

Slip costs

DLT,

It's called Pier One marina in Gulf Breeze. The marina is at the foot of the 3 mile bridge going ove P'cola bay. Short on facilities but a great place to park the MAC. Slips are month to month with a two month deposit. The owner, Wayne Wheatly keeps his big cat their so he is around a lot to look things over. I can walk to a public launch, which makes taking the Mac out for a quick bottom clean with mast up a breeze. Then right back in the water and about 200 yards to the slip.

There are a few slips open. The phone is 850-934-3452. Wld. love to see another Mac around.

In Bayfield, ON (Lake Huron shoreline) we are paying $52CDN/ft for the 2007 season. Inside winter storage is $2.50 per sq. foot. Facilities include water, shore power, picnic area, private beach, clubhouse swimming pool, washrooms and shower.
