I am looking into adding a second axel to a Mac M. The axel on the trailer is manufactured by UFP but I am having a difficult time locating a source for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Personnally, I recommend brakes on both axles; It doesn't cost that much more and is way better. However, note that if you only put brakes on a single axle, that should be the rear axle. If you put them on the front only, the geometry of the tandem axle system will tend to lift the front axle under braking and cause it to skid.Scott wrote:We are going to move the original axle forward and retain the brakes and put a no brake tag axle in the rear.
