On the excellent advice of my friend John "Highlander", I bought a can of SailKote and voila.... no more noise going on 4 weeks from one application now. Sprayed on like WD40 would, put died instantly requiring very little spray. I gave it 2 coats just for the heck of it.
It seemed like a very effective and simple solution to an annoying/embarrassing problem with the M, don't know about the X, so I thought it was worth passing on.
