Hey Kevin, do you have the puffin design in a high res image. I blew it up and it got blurry.

Okay okay maybe slightly less ugly.Russ wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 7:43 pmKevin wrote:
I've explained it several times in this thread, but here's some snippets that may help...
... Years ago I made a Mac burgee using one of the MacGregor clan tartans with an "M" in a ball with a "Puffin" bird mascot (a black & white, plump, somewhat quirky yet surprisingly graceful Scottish waterfowl - seemed appropriate!)... it was created as a bit of a joke....
... Besides, you loose all the silly symbolism of the Puffin! A goofy, clumsy, Scottish bird that nobody would ever say was beautiful, but it's definitely "built-for-purpose" and entirely unique - nothing else looks like one - and it's amazingly successful in it's environment.... And since (mostly) they were black & white boats it seemed appropriate to have a (mostly) black & white bird to represent all of them. The goofiness of the Puffin just adds a bit of tongue-in-cheek amusement to the burgee, IMHO.The point to both the puffin and the 'waterbago' was a bit of self-deprecating humor.
I'm thinking a puffin (sans letter) is the most generic version.
Kevin, can you generate one without the letter. I will get quotes for pricing.
I’m so glad you found that, Ray - thanks. I looked everywhere and couldn’t find a copy of my original design.
Make the burgee looonger. As for the pelican… well… how the heck are you gonna fit a beak like that on a burgee?
but I have changed my mind.I don’t believe the ”M" should be removed. “M" stands for MacGregor, not a particular class of MacGregor; we don’t want to be confused as Puffin boat owners do we? https://www.puffinboatcompany.com/ Also, speaking as a painter, I do believe that the placement of the sphere is correct where Kevin placed it. The visual perspective is perfect.
