The vortex generators on a wing operate with air that is traveling along the swept wing . It would not help on a mast
I don't quite understand. The fins on the whale are swept back, but the blades shown on the drawings are not. The wind turbines seem to work well.
I am not an engineer, so, if you are, please explain in sailors language
