As to what do with the LJ lines when the mast comes down. I normally disconnect my LJ's from the boom, and then secure them to the mast with bungee's before I lower the mast. I do the same with the main halyard and the topping lift. This makes de-rig and rig a little bit quicker easier.Bluecrab wrote:I like the idea but have a couple of questions. I have also taken them all the way off but since I cover my boat with a tarp for "long term" storage I don't feel they will "degrade" by being left on. If the mast was going to be left exposed for a long time I would take them all the way off and store inside the cabin...but then that further increases de-rig and rig times.
