Re: Boat show in Annapolis, new DVD
We wish we could be at that boat show looking at 40 to 46 ft multi-hulls for a live aboard it seems all the Seattle boat salesmen we are talking with are already there. We are planning on keeping our M for inland lakes, so far ,but that is about 2 years down the road. It is fun looking and the Annapolis boat show is a biggie, also there having a multi-hull demo show close by the regular show next week for test sails, so make reservations on line for a test sail first if you are going.

Re: Boat show in Annapolis, new DVD
Friday afternoon at the Annapolism Show ... I had the privilege (and I count it a privilege) of meeting "Our Roger", aboard the 2009 Mac 26X exhibited by Havencraft.
Sorry to say that "A-1 Sailboats," i.e. "Captain Jim," of Casa Rio Marina (my home-port), is out of the Mac business ...
Roger and Mikel both asked me about "how could we make the X's and Classics self-destruct so we could sell more 26M's?!"
My reply was "Bring back the X!" So there ...

Did you get a chance to tell him his website stinks and he'd sell more boats by updating it?
Re: Boat show in Annapolis, new DVD
I did not have the pleasure of attending the Annapolis Boat Show this year. We were there last year and had a lot of fun, saw a lot of boats, and lots of great equipment. Everyone interested in sailing should try to attend at least once! I disagree with making the older MacGregor boats self-destruct. Lots of those boats are in the hands of great people who would not otherwise be able to go boating! Some of them will go on to new MacGregor boats or larger boats but for now at least they get the chance to experiance just how much fun sailing and cruising on the water can be! Our dedication to those folks is just as strong as our dedication to new 26M buyers. We plan to do as much as we can to keep the older Mac's on the water as long as possible! I know that Roger gets great joy out of knowing just how many people have changed their lives to the better on one of his boats, me included! We all just want to see the new boat industry pick up...
