Nope that one belongs to my own clan

here's the Macgregor Tartan
Well cool Highlander, we may be distant cousins.... My 17th Great Grandpappy was a Macgregor. The line changed to Magruder at some point
Grand Pappy --> Gregor MacGregor lived in the mid-fourteenth century. Also known as Gregor Aulin (the Handsome) Chaim and Gregor of the Golden Bridles, of Glenorchy, he was the 3rd Chief of the Clan Gregor. When he died in Glenorchy in 1415, his burial in Dysart was recorded in the Chronicle of Fortingall.
The "Boat Troll" is simply too cool!

Galactica doesn't have an official mac-mascot yet. My Labs are too big and spastic; however, my son's puppy, Pepsi, was born about the time my boat was being made. The family has already decided to get a little k9 life jacket for her.

Seeing all these real-live mascots, I guess my "logo" mascot doesn't qualify.
When I got my

back in 2007, her name "Intrepid" simply didn't go. That's a fine name for an aircraft carrier that brought "the fear of God" to the enemy back in World War II, but NOT for an "obese Flying Scot with indoor plumbing"!
Compared to the proper bearer of a name like "Intrepid," this little boat was barely a hummingbird ....
So that's what I named her: Beija-Flor, which is the Brazilian Portuguese name for those tiny flying jewels. The literal translation is "kiss-flower", and I made up a line sketch of a hummingbird and flower to put on the transom. Even though I've sold Beija-Flor, I still use that sketch as my avatar on this board.
Interestingly enough, the name helped me sell Beija-Flor after I bought Bossa Nova. It was bought by a fellow whose wife is a wildlife illustrator - she was charmed by the name, and no doubt amused by the logo!

Here's Wally, the Wal-Mart parrot. Wally talks,Wally sings(badly). Wally joins us on every trip, and mostly he behaves himself.
Wally is very excited about going to the Bahamas this year. He thinks he will run into other family members. I don't have the heart to tell him there's no Wal-Mart in the Bahamas...

We go for the live variety.
Crewmembers 7 and 8 pictured here onboard our Memorial Day trip in the South Sound last year.

Now that's a full house on an X!
You should have seen all 8 of us in the dinghy at the same time.
One 11 year old, 3 more teenagers (14,16,and 18), my wife and I, and the two dogs.

Jessy the 'Schnoodle' and Jenny the 'Yorkiepoo'

Small dogs with handles are handy.
