Purchasing an X ????????????????????
John has found an engine, 1998, full controls to the pedestal, evinrude. He wants $2395 installed on the 2000 X. Says it is on a sailboat now that does not do any power boating. So little use as a big engine.
That makes the cost of the 2000 x at $13,005.00
John has pulled the seat and is making repairs to the fiberglass.
I emailed him telling him I would think about it.
What do you guys think?

What kind of Evinrude? What's the horsepower. Is it fuel injected? Is it at least a 25hp or better?GaryMayo wrote:John has found an engine, 1998, full controls to the pedestal, evinrude. Re: Purchasing an X??????????????????????
John lowered the price to $11950. The evinrude is a 60 hp made in 1998. That would make it a carb engine I would guess. I emailed him asking for more details.

Friend of mine purchased a 1997

He paid 12.5K a few years back. It has a two stroke Nissan 70hp (carbureted).
He has put a lot of money in repairs and mods (including a new rubrail) He shares his experiences of installing that rubrail in a Youtube video, so if anyone is interested in viewing that one just ask or search the Macgregor list of videos there.

Had to sneek this one in.
