I hope to motor away from my marina around 4:30ish on Friday.

Pedro, what about you and your crew?

I think we are launching from Sandy Point... is there overnight parking there?

I took Friday off... so I don't know if we will travel Thursday night or Friday morning yet.

Yes, there is parking at Sandy Pt State Park...lots of it. There is a charge to get in the park. Make sure you ask about overnight...I think you have to hang a pass from your mirror or something. You can also buy fuel there. They have a fuel dock but it is about $4 per gallon. I stop there all the time. There is also a small convenience store with snacks/drinks and some boating/fishing supplies. Tony will probably chime in with overnight parking info...he used to do it all the time.

I am about 10 miles south of SPSP and I won't be able to launch until about 4:30 on Friday so I will just motor up to Hart Miller Island...about 20 miles for me...and see you guys up there. Don't forget the French Press...I love that coffee that Jean makes 8)

As soon as you motor out of SPSP you will see the SP Light House. And then about 5 miles from there...towards the NW...you will see the famous Baltimore Light where the M.U.C.K. Master lost his mast last year... :?

Image

And just up the Magothy River...which is right there on the West side of the Bay...is where yours truly showed his agility stepping off my boat onto the dock at Deep Creek Marina/Restuarant...and ended up in the Emergency Room with dislocated shoulder... :o

Image

And then the last time that Tony and I got our boats together...this time with Pedro on Sea Wind...Pedro dropped the propane connector for his grill over board when we rafted all three boats together...but after about 15 minutes of diving he found it... 8)

Image

So when Tony and I (and now we got Pedro jinxed) get together crazy things seem to happen...I'm just sayin'....

Cheers,
Jim

We may be getting started a little late also. We most likely will be launching at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore (it is the last exit of 95N before the tunnel). We find this makes the trip to Hart Miller a bit easier. Also, while Sandy Pint is a secure place to park the tow beast, we have never had problems at Harbor Hospital since hospital security supposedly watches the parking lot.

No overnight SLEEPING at Sandy Point State Park but overnight paring is okay. Don't forget to fill out a Hang Tag for overnight parking.

 Not to break up the group but here is an idea  .... especially if arriving Thursday and thinking of seeing the Baltimore Inner Harbor.....

I just called my marina, White Rocks Marina http://whiterocksmarina.com/
located at http://maps.google.com/maps?oe=utf-8&aq ... KoBEPwSMAA

they have room for several boats n trailers, you can park on the gravel long term parking area, Launch for $25 and slip $1.00 / Ft. new bathrooms and showers. Also a brand new deck restaurant bar called Mikes Crab House North right at the pier.

From White Rocks Marina to Bal Inner Harbor and back out is about 19 Smi and then another 7 Smi to HMI.
From WRM to Hart MIller Island is 9 Smi
From WRM to Sandy Point if you want to meet up with other MUCKers it's 17 Smi south.

Let me know

MUCKers
Please review the pictures and some important notes below them. :!:
