Food for thought, why would a Manifacture release info on a design it is creating when current design is selling. It would delay sales for those wanting the new design.
That could cost the Manifacture sales of current boats and production.
Bottom line is wait until boat has sea trials and ready for production, than release the info.

I gotta go to the head as I'm reatching with these quotes.

I was at the factory again on Saturday and I still do not see any activity there that would make me think a new boat is coming except the 70 footer that is being built in the big bay. It's not a fiberglass boat at all - it's made of something else that is very light and strong but not very easy to work with. Captain Mike told me what the material is but I already forgot. Roger was there too but I never see him when I go to the factory. I’m not sure where he is in the building but his car is there parked in the back and on weekdays everyone is working pretty hard like as if the boss is there so you can kind of sense that he is there. I’m sorry I can't remember what the new material is but I can tell you from my own experience with sailboats, (Dad gave me my first little Koralle Jr. when I was 12 and now I’m 55), that new 70 foot boat is a submarine. A very very fast very smooth riding HEAVY OCEAN submarine that will circumnavigate ANY water in the world in ANY WEATHER. I’m wanting to give you the image of a twelve meter rig but this thing is really more submarine on the bottom and twelve meter rig on the top – and probably a LOT faster. From what I saw the waterline is 2 feet off the rails! And there were submarine windows one foot under the rails! A broadside in a F5 would not even touch that thing! (It would just wash right over the top).

Anyways, that’s the only thing I saw – if they were planning to make production boats for trailers out of that new material that would be cool but it would make a standard M cost about 100 grand I think based on all the labor I saw going into that material. I must admit, that new material did not smell so I bet they could get around the California VOC laws if they did use it to build boats.

Who knows, I guess we will all find out ‘schooner or later’.

Rumor has it that the new boat might be produced by hunter, based on the 26D hull.
